Funding

Our long term aim is to be able to survive as a viable social enterprise. However this can’t happen overnight and in past years we have been fortunate enough to receive funding from various grant providers including: Big Lottery People and Places Fund, Lloyds TSB Foundation, Collaborative Communities, CAVS Community Development Fund, the Wales Church Fund and Children in Need.

A variety of aspects of our work have been covered such as a member of staff to run our helpline, essential office equipment and an activity holiday for dyslexic children. In the current economic climate it is becoming increasingly difficult to secure third sector funding but we are continuing our efforts so we can go on providing much needed services and resources supporting dyslexic individuals in Wales.

Our current funders are the Welsh Government who fund a full-time and part-time member of staff and the Ivor and Aeres Evans Charitable Trust who have made it possible for us the produce the Welsh medium screening test. This website has been made possible with funding from Communities 2.0.
