Scott Quinnell

Scott Quinnell is one of the best-known names in Welsh and international rugby. He was captain of the Welsh rugby team seven times and won 52 caps for his country.

But admidst all this success, Scott struggled with dyslexia as a child. The condition was not diagnosed until he was in his thirties. In his book The Hardest Test he describes how he struggled with learning difficulties throughout his childhood and on his journey to becoming a top rugby player.

When he retired from playing in 2005 he continued his battle with dyslexia in order to change his and his children’s lives. Scott’s example has inspired teachers, children, parents and carers to realise that you can make a success in your life despite being dyslexic.
